Jordan Band's 2^nd Competition of the season is Saturday, October 1^st at Wakefield HS. This is an evening competition beginning at 6:30pm because the SAT is being held in the morning. There are a total of 18 bands competing in this competition. All students must be at JHS at 4:00pm for our pre show festivities. Please have a good meal before you arrive. I will try to give the students an opportunity to eat concessions when we arrive at Wakefield, but that will depend on whether the competition will be running early, on time or late. We will be departing Jordan at 6:30pm by Activity Bus and expect to arrive at Wakefield HS before 7:15pm (our arrival time is scheduled at 8p). I hope to be able to watch some of the other bands before or after we perform, but we'll have to wait and see. Our performance time is 9:45pm with the awards ceremony being held around 11:15pm! Again, the late start time is because of the SAT being administered earlier in the day. Our expected arrival time back at Jordan will depend on how long it takes to pack up and leave Wakefield. The students will be instructed to call home for pickup roughly 10 minutes before we arrive at Jordan and I hope to be home at Jordan before 1am.
