The deadline for confirming that you will be attending the DCI trip to Rock Hill, SC has been extended to July 17th. Please read this confirmation letter to make sure your name is on the list. As a reminder, the trip is scheduled for Sunday, July 26th. Also, please read the DCI Trip description and return the fee and permission form to Mr. Weiss. Let Mr. Weiss know as soon as possible if you plan to attend. (7/14/09)

There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone going on the Disney trip on Monday April 6th at 6:30pm (revised meeting time!). All students that are going must attend, as well as their parents. This is a very important meeting as all the particulars will be discussed, we will meet our chaperones, and field any questions that anyone may have. If for any reason you can not attend this meeting, please contact Mr. Weiss as soon as possible. Thank you. (3/29/09)

---- PARADE UPDATE - PLEASE READ ----

Due to prior commitments by a large portion of the Marching Band, Jordan will not be marching in this year's rescheduled St. Patrick's Day parade. (3/16/09)

Due to the inclement weather, the parade coordinators have decided to postpone the parade until Saturday, March 21 (same times). Mr. Weiss will be checking on the availability of the band members early next week before making a commitment to being a part of the rescheduled parade. (3/13/09)

Attention: Check the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade assembly instructions for important information about this weekends parade. Also if you have not turned in a field trip permission form for the parade, get the permission form here. The form contains all of the "times and particulars" about the parade. (3/9/09)

Attention: Chili's dining fund-raiser will be on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. This will take place at both Chili's locations in Durham. The band will receive 10% of profits when the coupon is presented. A copy is posted to our website. Plan to visit Chili's for at least one of your meals on March 3^rd. (2/23/09)

Important Disney Reminder:

The next Spring Trip payment is due Wednesday Jan 28. The students may use the money that they have raised for their fundraising for this payment. The students should have received a card with the amount they have in the their individual student account. They may deduct that from $200 and send a check in by Wednesday. All other students must pay $200. If the students do not know what they have in their individual accounts, please contact Laura Melton who will supply them with this amount.

Attention: The deadline for our next payment for the Disney trip has been extended to Wednesday, December 17, 2008. It will be for $200 and everyone going on the trip (students, chaperones and family members) will need to have their payment made by the 17th. (12/7/2008)

All-District money is due on Monday 12/8. There is an $8 fee for each student going to the All-District audition. Please bring in cash or a check made out to Jordan Band for $8 by Monday 12/8, at the latest. (12/1/08)

HOLIDAY PARADE!: The band will participate in the Parkwood Holiday Parade on Sunday Dec. 7th. The parade begins at 2 pm. Students will meet at JHS at 12 noon and will need to arrive at Parkwood by 1:15 pm. Since activity buses will not be used, students will need to carpool to Parkwood. PLEASE NOTE: All students should wear their own Santa hat as we won't be wearing our Marching Band hats and plumes. (12/1/08)
