Disney: The deadline for the
next Spring Break payment is Wednesday, January 28. The total amount due
will vary based on a student's citrus sale profit. Each student will be
notified of the profit amount as well as the total required for the
January payment. The third payment will be due on Feb. 26.
urgent need for Volunteers
A musical gala is being planned for May 28 at the
Carolina Theater in Durham. This event will require a large
commitment from parent volunteers. A planning committee is being formed to
immediately begin to address the requirements of this large scale

We are seeking parents interested in serving on a
Capital Funds Committee to help write grants and seek other methods to raise
money for the band. If you are interested in serving on this ad hoc

A $5.00 donation entitles the donor to an
Entrée Vous coupon flyer for a free dessert. Additionally, with any entree
purchase using the coupon flyer, Entree Vous will donate a portion back to
the band depending on the size of the purchase.
($5 w/
purchase of 1 or more entrees, $20 w/ purchase of 3 or more entrees, and
$50, w/ purchase of 6 or more entrees). The coupons are good through April
2009 and the band will continue to receive a portion of purchases made with
the coupons through April 2009. Contact Paige at

We want to remind students, families and friends to
use the GoodSearch charity search engine to help raise funds for the band
all year long. Searches and purchases made on
GoodSearch earn funds for the JHS band account. Set your homepage to
GoodSearch and/or remember to use it when performing searches or making
purchases. We earn 1 penny per search and can also earn up to 37% of
purchases made using Goodshop (goodsearch), depending on the vendor.

HAM GIFT CERTIFICATES
HoneyBaked Ham gift certificates in
denominations of $10 and $25 are still available. To order, email Julie
Frybarger at fryguys@nc.rr.com and let her know how many and
which amounts you want. The sale of gift certificates is an ongoing
fundraiser.
Marva Hicks, Terrell's mother,
will donate $15 for every Mary Kay Satin Hands Pampering Set sold to band
families. These $30 gift sets include hand scrub, hand cream and night
