Disney Trip

  • payments: The deadline for the next Spring Break payment is Wednesday, January 28. The total amount due is $200 but will vary per student based on the student's citrus sale profit.  Each student has been given a business card that states the amount they have paid up to Jan 16th and the credits they have accumulated to date. This amount can be deducted from the $200 payment.  The third installment will be due on Feb. 26.
  • housing: Rooming lists for all participants are due on Wednesday, January 28.

fund raisers (3 new fund raisers this week)

char-Grill Dine-out

A two-day fundraiser with Char-Grill on Hope Valley and Hwy. 54 runs Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Since there is limited dinning space, we have two days (January 27th and January 28th) to complete the fund raiser. A flyer must be used when purchasing a meal at any time on these days.  Char-Grill will attach the flyer to the receipt and total them at the end of the period.  The band will receive 20% of the sales made with the flyers. Flyers are available in the band office and on the JHS website.

auto bell

The Auto Bell Charity Car Wash Ticket Sale has begun. Tickets cost $13.95 and are good for a "Full Service Wash" (including vacuuming carpet & seats, dusting inside, towel drying exterior, cleaning windows interior and exterior). The band will make 50% ($6.97) for each ticket sold. The sale will run through the month of February. Michael Hall spoke to students about the sale last week. Order forms are available from Michael and available on the band's website. Michael will deliver tickets to the students as the orders come in so that buyers can start using the tickets ASAP. The tickets are good at all Auto Bell locations. An Auto Bell is located at 5206 NC 55. Check their website (www.autobell.com) for additional locations.

candy sale

The Jordan Band program is sponsoring a Candy Sale to run form January 29 – February 27. Students will have the option of selling pre-packaged boxes of assorted candy bars.  Each box will contain either 30 or 52 candy bars and each candy bar will be sold for $1.00 each.  Students will receive 1/3 of the profits of what they sell to go toward their Spring Break Trip.  Depending on the number of candy bars in the boxes they sell, they could earn somewhere between $5 and $7.50 per box.  Parents must sign a permission slip accepting financial responsibility for the candy signed out to their student.  Students will sell one box at a time, but are not limited as to how many boxes they can sell.

Women's night out

Women's Night Out will be on Monday, February 2, 7:00 PM at Paige Cragg's house. Join us for a fun evening of skin care from Mary Kay, appetizers from Entree Vous and desserts from Honey Baked Ham.  Marva Hicks (Terrell's mom) will be on hand with some Mary Kay skin care and makeup products you can try.  She has graciously offered to donate any profits from sales that night to the band boosters.  Plus, you can try out some samples from other booster fundraisers—Entrée Vous and Honey Baked Ham.  Come and pamper yourself for the night.  Please RSVP to Paige Cragg by Friday, January 30 at Pccragg@aol.com
