DISNEY TRIP

  • Thanks to Marva Hicks for a generous donation of $250 from the last week's "Ladies Night Out" fundraiser.
  • Just over $230 was raised during the Char-Grill dine-out days.  (Other dine-out nights are being planned – stay tuned.)

Still looking for a Valentine's gift for someone special?  Consider giving one of our fundraising items! Perhaps a basket of JHS Band Goodies?  There are several combinations that would make a great themed bag or basket.

Purchase Auto Bell Charity Car Wash Tickets now for spring and summer!!!  Car wash tickets are valid for 6 months from the time of purchase. Tickets cost $13.95 and are good for a "Full Service Wash" (including vacuuming carpet & seats, dusting inside, towel drying exterior, cleaning windows interior and exterior). The band will make 50% ($6.97) for each ticket sold. The sale will run through the month of February. Order forms are available from Michael Hall and posted on the band's website. The tickets are good at all Auto Bell locations. An Auto Bell is located at 5206 NC 55. Check their website (www.autobell.com) for additional locations. The Jordan Band program is sponsoring a Candy Sale to run form January 29 – February 27. Students will have the option of selling pre-packaged boxes of assorted candy bars.  Each box will contain either 30 or 52 candy bars and each candy bar will be sold for $1.00 each.  Students will receive 1/3 of the profits of what they sell to go toward their Spring Break Trip. If a student wants the profits to go towards the trip, payments must be turned in by February 20.  Depending on the number of candy bars in the boxes they sell, they could earn somewhere between $5 and $7.50 per box.  Parents must sign a permission slip accepting financial responsibility for the candy signed out to their student.  Students will sell one box at a time, but there is no limit on the number boxes that can be sold.

A musical gala is being planned for May 28 at the Carolina Theater in Durham.  This event will require a large commitment from parent volunteers. Please contact Virginia Taylor rvgtaylor@earthlink.net ASAP if you would like to serve on the planning committee. (Video from the 2007 gala has been uploaded to website.
