Jordan High Marching Band Reminders and Updates

*Reminders for this week*

   * *Rehearsals *will be held Tuesday and Thursday this week from 4:00
     p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Continue to bring water jugs filled with ice water.

   * Our first* dine-out night will be Thursday, 8/21 at the
     Fuddrucker’s *on* *Martin Luther King Parkway. The band will
     receive a portion of the proceeds for purchases made from 4:00
     p.m. – 9:00 p.m. if the Fuddrucker’s fund-raising form is provided
     at the time of purchase. Forms are available in the band office
     and on the website.

*New for this week*

   * Mr. Weiss has provided detailed descriptions of all JHS *band
     classes*;* *they are posted on the website at
     http://www.jordanband.org/BandClasses.htm.
   * We are creating a *Yahoo group *to distribute future JHS band
     reminders, notices, updates, etc. This should allow more
     efficiency in our mailings. We apologize if you’ve receive more
     than one invitation to join. Bear with us as we get it organized.
   * Our webmasters are making important changes to the *website*. Much
     of the older content will be archived and “private” information
     will be moved to a secure area. This *password-protected* area
     will include content such as pictures that clearly identify
     students, booster financial information, handbooks, directories,
     etc. Details will follow in an upcoming mailing.
   * *Chaperones* for football games and competitions as well as
     *volunteers* for laundry duty will soon be confirmed and posted
     the website.

*Upcoming for next week*

   * *School begins* Monday August 25.
   * *Rehearsals* will be held on 8/26 and 8/28 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
