band together for new uniforms

The Booster Board has voted to raise funds for the purchase of new marching band uniforms. The anticipated total cost is approximately $30,000. Profits from all upcoming fundraisers (beginning with this year's Gala), will be directed to the uniform funds.  An email with additional details will be distributed separately from the weekly news.

Most of you know that we have been hoping to receive funding for new uniforms for the last couple of years.  In light of the local budget, it appears that funding will not be available again this year.

Our uniforms were purchased in 2002 and they are showing extreme wear and tear.  Being able to keep them for as long as we have shows not only the quality that was invested but also demonstrates the pride our students, dedicated laundry volunteers, and chaperones with "bleacher duty " ( covering the bleachers in plastic) took over the years to ensure the uniforms (and hence, our students) always looked as good as possible at all performances.

But make no mistake, our students need and deserve new uniforms. This is why the Booster Board has voted to direct the profits from all future fundraisers (beginning with this year's Gala), to the purchase of new uniforms. The anticipated total cost is approximately $30,000. A lofty goal? Absolutely.  Can our band family make it happen? Absolutely! Please help by participating in as many fundraisers as possible and using your contacts to help further this cause.

We will continue to share information on fundraisers and progress towards the goal. In the meantime, feel free to contact any member of the Booster Board if you have ideas for fundraisers or possible sources of donations.
