Not only was the weather delightful on Saturday, but it made for a fabulous day to get your car washed.  Any many of you did! Thanks for the turnout and support of the JHS band program! And as always, we could not do these fundraisers without the help of our wonderful volunteers.
 

This week

• Sep. 14: Dine-Out at Bandido's of Woodcroft 5pm to closing. Bandido's will donate 10% of all sales to the band. Flyers are required and will be distributed to students on Monday. You may also print the flyer from the website.
• Sep. 15: Extended rehearsal.  Due to the JHS Open House on Wednesday, rehearsal has been extended to 7:30 pm.  Parents are invited to watch the rehearsal between "class changes" if your schedule allows.
• Sep. 19: The annual JHS Band McDonald's Day is Saturday from 12 noon – 2 pm at the McDonald's on Hwy 54 at Kroger Plaza. This is a fundraiser in which a portion of the purchases at McDonald's will be donated to the JHS band.

• Students should arrive to the JHS band room at 10:30 am and will depart JHS to McDonald's by 11:30 am.
• The band will play approximately 45 minutes, break for lunch for 30 minutes and play until 2:00 pm.
• There will be an additional rehearsal at JHS from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm after the McDonald's Day performance has ended. Students will return to JHS for the rehearsal.

next week

• Sep. 22 & 24: Two Parent Performance Nights have been scheduled so that parents can see the show prior to the first competition on Sep. 26.  Choose one or choose both, come on out to the practice field at 6:00 and enjoy the performance!
• Sep. 26: Panther Creek Invitational. Details available in the next mailing.

spirit wear  

• Spirit Wear Update: We've got Spirit, yes we do! Get your spirit wear in time for the cooler weather. Jackets, hats, scarves, blankets, shirts and hoodies are available. We have a large inventory of short sleeved t-shirts, long sleeved t-shirts and hoodies.
• The small and large wind jackets have arrived and have been delivered to students. Unfortunately, the size medium jackets are on back-order and should arrive within the next 1-2 weeks.
• The stadium blankets have changed to a heavier weight blanket due to the previous design being discontinued. They are expected to arrive within a week.

• The memories have been captured for you! A DVD from Summer `09 band camp is being sold $3. Contact Michaela Cragg at meowgir47@aol.com if you would like a copy.  Proceeds benefit the band.
