This week

• Sep. 22 & 24: Two Parent Performance Nights have been scheduled so that parents can see the show prior to the first competition on Sep. 26.  Choose one or choose both, come on out to the practice field at 6:00 and enjoy the performance!
• Sep. 26: Panther Creek Invitational. We are slated to perform at 7:14 pm. Our website contains a large amount of valuable information regarding this competition.  The only information duplicated in this mailing is the schedule below, so please visit the website for the official schedule, directions, etc.

1:30 - 3:30 - Rehearsal at Jordan (please eat lunch before arriving)

3:30 - 4:00 - dress and load buses

4:00 - Panther Creek departure time

4:30 - Panther Creek arrival time

4:30 - 5:30 - dinner time (concessions will be available)

5:30 - go to warm up area - etc...

7:14 - perform!

Next week

• Oct 1: Band Booster Meeting 7:00 pm in the Combo Room.  All booster members are invited to attend.
• Oct 2: Home football game against Northern High.  Students should arrive to the band room at 5:00 pm to get prepared for the 7 pm game. The Marching Falcons will depart the band room at 6:30 pm to head to the field. Please come out and support the band!
• Oct 3: Heart of Carolina Marching Band Invitational at Wakefield High. The Marching Falcons will perform 12th out of 20 bands with a scheduled performance time of at 2:15 pm. We are scheduled to arrive at 12:15 pm and should be at JHS around 9:00 (time to be confirmed by the next mailing).  Make plans now to support the band in this second competition of the season.

Thanks for showing your support with the Jordan Band Spirit Wear!!  We had over $600 in spirit wear sales at McDonald's Day. If you haven't done so, place your order today to be ready for the upcoming competitions. Hats, scarves, blankets, shirts and hoodies are available.

Unfortunately, the wind jackets are no longer available. The manufacturer is no longer making the jacket and we have exhausted every avenue to find remaining jackets in stock. We will consider a different jacket option in the future. Stay tuned…

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Bandido's Dine Out. We received a check in the amount of $172.35 
for the band.

Thanks also for the support at McDonald's Day over the weekend.  We received a check for just over $1180 from food purchases and hopefully got a few young people interested in playing an instrument!  Please thank the McDonald's management for their annual support next time you are in the restaurant.
