This week

• Oct 1: Rehearsal time changes to 3:30 – 6:30 for the remainder of the season.
• Oct 1: Band Booster Meeting 7:00 pm in the Combo Room.  All booster members are invited to attend.
• Oct 2: JHS homecoming football game against Northern High.  Students should arrive to the band room at 5:00 pm to get prepared for the 7 pm game. The Marching Falcons will depart the band room at 6:30 pm to head to the field. It is tradition for each section to dress in costumes for homecoming. And yes, they do perform in costume, so bring your camera and support the band!
• Oct 3: Heart of Carolina Marching Band Invitational at Wakefield High. The Marching Falcons will perform 12th out of 20 bands with a scheduled performance time of at 2:15 pm. We are scheduled to arrive at 12:15 pm and should be at JHS around 9:00. Additional information will be provided later in the week. Make plans now to support the band in this second competition of the season.
• Please remember your drink/snack, laundry and chaperon commitments for this week.  Drinks/snacks and laundry schedules are posted to the website.  Chaperons will receive updated information from Leigh Laurent libra013@aol.com

upcoming fundraising

• Oct. 9: BAND BOOSTER fundraiser at Sal's Pizza and Italian Restaurant, 2103 Allendown Drive, Durham 27713, Friday, October 9^th 11 am to 10 pm. Enjoy great pizza and Italian food while supporting the Jordan Band. When the fundraiser flyer is presented with purchase, Sal's will donate 10% for specials and 15% for entrees to the Jordan High School Band Boosters.  The required flyer has been posted to our website. Encourage friends, colleagues, family and others to download the flyer and eat at Sal's!
