this week

• Oct. 12: Spring Trip deposit of $125 due.. More information about the trip is posted on the website.
• Oct 16: JHS football game against Hillside High.  Students should arrive to the band room at 5:00 pm to get prepared for the 7 pm game. The Marching Falcons will depart the band room at 6:30 pm to head to the field. Please come out and support the band.
• Oct 17: Central North Carolina Band Festival at Western Alamance High in Elon, NC (http://wazbb.net/).  Some key times are listed below. Mr. Weiss will update students as necessary during the week.
  • 2:00 pm students arrive at JHS
  • 3:30 pm (or slightly earlier) depart JHS
  • 7:03 pm performance
• Please remember your drink/snack, laundry and chaperon commitments.  Drinks/snacks and laundry schedules are posted to the website.  Chaperons will be contacted by Leigh Laurent libra013@aol.com.

• Oct 24: Capital City Band Expo at Sanderson High in Raleigh, NC (http://www.sandersonband.com/).  This show has a preliminary and finals format. The Marching Falcons are scheduled to perform at 4 pm. More information will be available in the next mailing.

upcoming fundraising

• Oct. 26-28: Omega Sports will hold "JHS Band Appreciation Days" from 9 am – 9 pm each day. Patrons presenting the flyer will receive 10% off their purchase and a portion of the proceeds will go to the band program. Be sure to print the flyer from the Jordan Band website. (Note: no school on Oct. 26.)
• Oct. 27: TCBY at Homestead Market will donate 10% of the entire day's sales to the band program! No flyer is required. Stop in from 7 pm – 8 pm to see our very own – Shaina and Hope – as Celebrity Scoopers!
• Again this year, the annual Citrus Sale will be run by our band students. More info as it becomes available.
