Dog Tags
As Mr. Weiss announced at the dinner on
Friday, band students will get dog tags to commemorate the show. They may
order a personalized tag honoring a member of the military. Friends and
family members may also order dog tag sets for $3 each. Mr. Weiss wants to
order these ASAP so please contact him at
Andrew.weiss@dpsnc.net
as soon as possible. Please provide him with the following information for
the tag – your name, e-mail address, how many tags being ordered, name and
rank of service member, branch of military, service dates (e.g. – ’03 –
’06). You may send your money in with your student to be given to Drew
Stutts.
Life after Band Camp
After band camp, rehearsals will be held from
4 - 8 PM every Tuesday and Thursday until school starts. After school
starts, rehearsals will be held from 4 - 7 PM every Tuesday and Thursday.

Questions? Please contact Lisa Goss,
volunteer coordinator extraordinaire, at lgfloss4u@msn.com.
Pit Crew
We will need lots of volunteers to help with
the pit crew during band season.
Even if you can only help a few times, we
still need you. To find out more, please contact Roger Fortman at
roger_fortman@hotmail.com.
Also, if you’ve signed up to help and want a polo shirt, please contact
Roger as soon as possible so that he can place orders.
Flap Jack Fundraiser
Mark your calendar for August 28 for the flap
jack fundraiser at Applebees in Brier Creek. Band students will be getting
tickets to sell in advance. We’ll also need band students to volunteer to
work at the event – you must be at least 16 to work. Younger band students
– don’t despair! You can help by selling tickets and by doing something
you’ve been trained for since birth – eating! Questions – please contact
Lauren Ciepial at lauren.cierpial@gte.net.
Band Uniforms
We have raised over half of what we need to
pay for our new uniforms. If you are able, please consider making a
contribution to the uniform fund. All donations are tax deductible. Check
the Jordan Band website for donation forms.
