Dream Dinners Fundraiser is Underway (10/30)

The Jordan Band Fund Raiser with Dream Dinners kicked off last night (10/29) and will run through November 21st, the day before Thanksgiving. If you would like to sign up for a session at either the Sutton Station location, or the Indigo Corners location, (by Red Robin), go to www.dreamdinners.com. Create an account. Type "Jordan Marching Band" in the Special Request section & Jordan Marching Band will be credited! Mike & Robin Stanaway, the owners want to support the Jordan Band, so please check out Dream Dinners. Questions may be answered by calling 484-9555, or e-mail suttonstationnc@dreamdinners.com.

United Way Campaign

The United Way Campaign is underway at many area businesses. Examine your Pledge Form, & designate C.E. Jordan Band as beneficiary of your contribution. You may choose to give to an agency not listed in the contributor's guide.

Dream Dinner Night, October 24

"Dream Dinner" Fund Raiser night, Wed. 10-24-07 at the Sutton Station location, at 7pm. Send one member of your family, (mom or meal preparer) to this fun event. The $5 cover charge is a fund raiser for our Jordan Band & will entitle you to sample available meals and will introduce you to the Dream Dinner concept. You will then put together a meal for your family to take home - ready to cook, or freeze for later use. You will also have an opportunity to sign up for one of their multi dinner packages, a portion of those proceeds also benefiting Jordan Band. Important notes: Offer only available to new customers, & only at the Sutton Station location.

www.goodsearch.com is a non for profit search engine that donates $.01 to a charitable organization, such as the Jordan HS Band, per search. All you have to do is designate JHS Band as you charity and search away. Goodsearch tabulates the amount of searches and once a year issue payment. It's an incredibly easy way to raise money for the band!

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

The Century fundraiser from the summer (cookie dough and whatnot) will be delivered this Wednesday at 2:30p. Because this is a perishable food order that is shipped pre-frozen, all orders must be picked up on Wednesday after school or they will spoil and be thrown away. If pre-payment for the order has not been made, all monies must be collected upon delivery of the item and brought to school the next day.

Century Annual McDonald's Day Fundraiser

Our annual McDonald's Day fundraiser will be held on Sat. Sept. 22nd from 12-2pm. It's held at the McDonald's on Hwy 54 in front of Kroger. Please come down to support the band, listen to some great music, and eat lots and lots of McDonald's!

REMINDER! All fundraising materials must be turned in by Thursday 8/16. Remember, your profits from this fundraiser may be used to offset your dues, or may go towards the Spring Trip. So sell, sell, sell!

FUND RAISING/WAYS & MEANS

The C.E. Jordan Band Program, like most public schools is not fully funded by Durham Public Schools, and relies on community support through fund raising, donations and inviting corporate sponsors to help defray costs.

Fund raising includes activities attended by Jordan Band Students and Band Parents and promotes teamwork, volunteerism and public awareness of the band program. Contributing to the band benefits students, families and the community. School music programs directly impact the growth of individuals who later contribute to society.

Fall Fruit Sale: This has been our major fund raiser for many years.

Car Washes: Usually held at JHS on Saturday mornings 3 to 4 times a year, dates TBA.

Fuddrucker's Nights- Held several times during the year, Fuddrucker's donates 20% of food tabs attached to one of our admission coupons. Dates TBA.

Golden Corral- Highway 55, Date TBA.
